Dr. Harry Lefkowitz

With over 30 years of serving the Teaneck community, Dr. Harry Lefkowitz, DC is the fabric on which healing and community are woven together. Dr. Lefkowitz or Dr. Harry as he is affectionately known has taken the area of chiropractic health care to the next level. When Dr. Harry started his practice, he not only had the opportunity to heal patients through natural, holistic methods in the latest chiropractic techniques, he also informed and taught patients about the physiology of the human body.

In the 1980s, chiropractic medicine was still up and coming and experimental. Dr. Lefkowitz brought chiropractic to the forefront of American  health care, one patient at a time. Dr. Harry became a Diplomat in Kinesiology, the study of  human kinetics and human movement. Kinesiology addresses physiological, mechanical and psychological mechanisms. Dr. Lefkowitz was on the cutting edge of the natural health care scene before terms like holistic, homeopathic and organic became the buzz words in healthcare. Dr. Lefkowitz constantly is updating his practice by studying and implementing the newest techniques in chiropractic health.

Located at 153 Fort Lee Road in Teaneck, Lefkowitz Wellness Center is open 6 days a week with office hours on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am-7pm, Tuesday evenings 4pm-8pm, Fridays 11am-4pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm. With 3 to 4 newly re-decorated patient suites, Dr. Lefkowitz can accommodate several patients throughout the day at almost anytime, cutting patient wait time and keeping health care efficient.

Dr. Lefkowitz has also expanded his marketing program in the last year with adding Michelle Bivins, as Community Outreach/Event Coordinator on staff. Ms. Bivins searches out community wide events and coordinates community outreach activities for Lefkowitz Wellness Center. In the past several months, Lefkowitz Wellness Center has partnered with several non-profit organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, Shelter Our Sisters, The Teaneck International Film Festival, and many other non-profits. Lefkowitz Wellness Center has presented “employee appreciation & pamper events” in schools and businesses and have also saluted Teaneck’s bravest with Firefighters Appreciation week last spring. Armed with a chair massage and therapists, Ms. Bivins assists Dr. Lefkowitz in spreading the word about natural, holistic ways of healing through massage therapy. Dr. Lefkowitz also teaches the general public about chiropractic care through his Lunch & Learn series at area restaurants. Dr. Lefkowitz & staff bridge the gap between health care and community.
